Her first book,
"The Art of Painting Animals on Rocks" was
published by North Light Books in 1994 and quickly established itself as
a favorite with animal lovers. Wild rabbits, fawns, foxes, cat and kitten
rocks are among the projects offered.

The Art of Painting
Animals on Rocks
Imagine creating your own
animal kingdom from rocks you've gathered yourself at the local creek or
nearest beach. "The Art of Painting Animals on Rocks" includes 11 step-by-step
projects that guide you in selecting the perfect size and shape of rock,
using simple geometric shapes to sketch the features, then shows how a
bit of paint brings your animal to life!
The book starts with simpler
projects like lady bugs and colorful snakes, followed by turtles, wild
rabbits, calico kittens, a yellow striped tabby cat, raccoons, fawns, foxes
and finally, owls. A gallery chapter offers a glimpse of further possibilities
along with tips and pointers for marketing your rocky artwork.

In February of 1998, her
third book arrived, offering even more fabulous rock animal projects. Aptly
titled "Painting More Animals on Rocks",
it leads you step by step through the process of painting mice, penguins,
wild cats, wolves, foals and 6 more exciting animal rock painting projects.
Painting More
Animals on Rocks
Painters all over the country
wrote in clamoring for more rock animal projects. The result is Lin's latest
book, "Painting More Animals on Rocks." Many of the animals in this book
were specifically requested by fans of her first book, "The Art of Painting
Animals on Rocks."
Once again she takes painters,
both beginners and experienced, step by step through an array of lifelike
animals. Warm up with simple pieces like spotted frogs and furry little
mice, then move on to penguins, skunks, beavers and squirrels. From the
barnyard come spotted calves and newborn foals.
Then add bears, wild cats
(both leopards and tigers) and majestic wolves to your rock repertoire!
Lin shows you exactly what to look for when hunting for good rocks to paint,
and simplifies the basic layout to ensure you'll get results you can be
proud of from the start.
